Moto Knob · Handlebar media controller

Eyes up.Hands on the bars.

A sealed, round-display controller that clamps to your handlebar and takes over the media on your phone or tablet. Twist for volume, press for play, tap through to the clock and compass — all in a glance, all with gloves on.

The problem

Phone mounts solved the wrong half

A phone on the bars still means taking a hand off, pulling a glove, hunting a 4 mm button in direct sunlight, and looking away from the road to do it. The Moto Knob puts a physical control where your hand already is.

Glove-first controls

A knurled outer ring you can find and turn blind, with a positive detent per step. No capacitive touch, no precision required.

Readable at a glance

A round, high-brightness display showing exactly one thing at a time — track, clock, or heading — in type sized to be read, not studied.

Works with what you play

Rides on the phone's own media session, so whatever is playing is what it controls — streaming apps, podcasts, offline libraries.

On the display

Three screens, one twist apart

Now playing

Title, artist, source app, transport state and elapsed/total time, with volume shown as you turn. Play, pause, skip and scrub from the ring and the press.

Time

A clock synced from the phone every 30 seconds — so it's right without a battery-backed RTC. Choose 12- or 24-hour and pick your font size in the app.

Compass

Live heading fed from the phone's magnetometer, with optional N/E/S/W cardinal markings and a needle style to taste.

Companion app

Audio Knob Bridge

The bridge app is the other half of the product. It pairs over Bluetooth LE, reads your phone's media session and sensors, and pushes exactly what the knob needs — nothing more. Everything the knob shows, you configure here.

  • Live bridge status. Advertising, searching, linked — you always know where the connection stands.
  • Data transparency. A plain readout of every field being sent: track, artist, player, playback state, position, volume.
  • Clock sync. Time pushed to the knob every 30 seconds, 12- or 24-hour, three font sizes.
  • Compass settings. Cardinal markings on or off, needle style, and an idle state when the knob isn't on that screen.
  • Navigation feedback. A live view of the last key the knob sent, which makes diagnosing a mount or a mapping trivial.

Available for iOS and Android.
